Apoligy in Advance, dear watchers

Sat Feb 23, 2008, 12:42 AM
An apoligy in advance.

I am probably gonna be annoyingly active on here for a while, I recently found out I have Mono, and thus cannot do anything or go anywhere for at least 2 weeks, leaving me with a lot of spare time to take pictures of random things, and upload things that I probably shouldn't. But humor me, please, and I'll treat your gallery just as kindly.

Anyways, so being sick really sucks. I hate not being able to do things. Today I had some visitors for a short time, which made my whole week and really cheered me up. Then I ate solid food for the first time all week, so that was monumental.

This is probably a question put forth in vain, but does anyone else's camera make a weird noise while its shutting off when it's in Image Stabilzation mode? Cause mine does, and it worries me...

Ok. Goodnight.

Havent updated in a while...

... So I figured I would.

I've updated a lot in black and white lately (or monotone, or silver, or whatever you like to call it), and it's starting to bother me. I am feeling the need to photograph vibrant colors. I think I shall.

I'm starting to seek out more photography gigs, but nothing paying has been happening, although I there are some possibilities coming up, so we'll see. I did do an art show a while ago though, which was cool.

Life is pretty... okay. I love my camera and get more amusement and spend more time with it than I think I ever would any person. So having realized this fully now, I think I am for sure going to major in either photography or cinematography, and I feel really good about it. (Speaking of which, any college suggestions anyone? A place with a good photography program?) College and SAT's and whatnot are on me these days; I'm starting to look at colleges, but for a change I'm starting to look forward to it. I'm taking SAT's in a few weeks, and that I'm NOT looking forward too, but oh well.

I have some things to look forward to that are a little closer in reach... I finally feel like the freakin chains binding me to a really unhealthy person are FINALLY broken, and I'm happier now.

Shits lookin' up, bitchess!

I'm getting a new Camera!!!! .... I just capitalized camera...

That's how excited I am.

I've gone down in the world and am now grammatically incorrect due to excitement. Yep.

Olympus digital SLR. Cheaper equivilant of the Canon EOS 40D. In other words, it's amazing.

My Future.

[Note: Tomorrow, trip to the Botanical Gardens with everyone! Hopefully some good shots will come out of it and I will post them up shortly!]

So, I now have a plan for life directly after Highschool. I am going to study art independently for a while before real college, and room with one of the most amazing people in the whole world, my bro Jack. We're gonna have an herb garden ;), a room with a bunch of pillows and a projector at the wall so we can watch movies on the ceiling, a board where we will rate all our lovers from best to limp, and the perfect roles determined for each of us. He will take on the role of My Bitch, or The Housewife. He will cook, and deal with money stuff, and clean, facilitate candelight dinners, and all those housewifey things that I hate and he loves. (He will also sleep with the mailman, as is appropriate for any suburban housewife). I on the other hand will do my artsy thing, tend our garden, throw a few keggers, organize yoga/meditation sessions at the house, as well as bringing home my share of "the bacon."
We considered soundproofing our bedrooms, but ultimately decided that it'd be way funnier not to. And more practical. He came up with the idea that if I'm with someone who ends up being totally lame, I can vocally send out some kind of secret messege, and he will burst in the door in a onesy and insist on calling me "Mommy" until whoever I'm with feels so awkward that they leave. Then we will laaaugh, and laugh, and go put them as "limp" on the board. Also, Nathan pointed out that it will be hilarious to have Jack waiting around in a onesy waiting for a secret messege that may or may not come.

It's perfect. I am so excited.

Honestly?

If something breaks, you can try to fix it up, glue it together, but it's never gonna be exactly the same. Maybe you can even coat it with fresh paint, covering the cracks, filling in the creases, leaving you with something new and pretty. Put-it-on-a-shelf-and-sell-it kind of pretty.

And honestly? I hate that kind of pretty.

Honestly? The paint never really covers the mistakes.

Honestly? You can dress it up, polished til it looks like new,

but at the end of the day?

Its still gonna be there: The glue; The rotten stuff underneath the pretty.

Honestly? I hate this

But you know?

I think it'll be okay.

(Obviously).

Slowly but surely.

Slow and steady wins the race, right?

Stop and smell the roses, right?

Don't rush things, right?

Right.
